Lake Greenwood NY

Flying up the Hudson from NYC i notice that my fuel gauge was reading FULL. after being in the air for over 2 hrs i knew it was incorrect. Before i headed of across the mountains of NY i splashed in on the Hudson to visually check the fuel and added another 5 gal just to be safe. there was a big freighter passing by so i landed aft of his wakes. off to Lake Greenwood the scenery was changing fast. Concrete buildings and ski scrapers change to mountains and lakes, the temps dropped 15 deg. I landed at Jim Moore's place on Lake Greenwood. he has a Luscom on floats parked right in his front yard. I had dinner w/ Jim and his wife (she was the town Mayor) and talked about seaplane flying and the nice lake town they lived in. Jim plans to have a seaplane spash-in next month.
